Guide to Making Worm Tea
Worm Tea Maker from 2L. soda bottle.
An easy way to make 2L. of worm tea would be to place 1 cup of VermiDirt and 1 tsp. of unsulfured molasses into a 2L. bottle. Then fill the bottle near the top with non-chlorinated water, leaving air space at the top. Place the cap on and shake the bottle to aerate the solution. It is important to remove the cap after shaking the bottle as pressure will build in the bottle as the bacteria grows. To aid the bacterial growth, the bottle contents should be aerated several times a day remembering to remove the cap after agitating the bottle. After 24 hrs. The entire contents may be used as a soil drench or filtered through a nylon hose and placed in a sprayer for a foliar spray.
